They came and went...
The REK SitesThis was originally an attempt at making a site for the REK folks. However, a combination of the changing REK formations and a certain lack of creativeness on my part meant that this site did not reach it's potential and as such has been largely untouched since the 14th December 2000: REK siteFrom an early stage in my development I have known that I have wanted to be very good at HTML, and also script and go into other languages. This was my first attempt at playing around with some of Dreamweaver's JavaScript. It didn't work like it was supposed to, but it forced me into buying my first JavaScript book. Hurrah! REK test page CotelandsThe first conceptual design for Cotelands. This took me a couple of hours and half a bottle of red wine: ConceptThe first site looked like this. This is almost the same as it was when it was finished. The main difference is that the later Flash movies looked a lot crisper and smoother, and were technically better: Cotelands site neil.lowtech.orgThis was how my very first portfolio site looked: firstWe all make mistakes. This was the second iteration: second ShortdarkThis was how the shortdark site looked up until March 2003. It was first designed and implemented using ASP in January 2002, before being switched to PHP in the summer of 2002. This representation is pure HTML: Shortdark ASP/PHPAn old demo page for shortdark made at the very end of 2000 (possibly NYE!?) and uploaded as soon as Access Space opened: Demo This was a page on the old F9 site that shows some of the ideas I was playing around with: Old HTML and Movement TrialClick on the man. This is very primative and is just HTML - clicking the first image opens up the second page that contains a "play once" animated gif: ManThe same thing, just updated. Clicking on the image triggers the JavaScript function which swaps the static image with the animated gif. Much more sophisticated: New Man CurryhouseThe first attempt: curry1The second attempt:curry2 OtherA test: artiA bg test: bg test |
